+I haven't watched Lawrence O'Donnell's show for awhile. But his analysis of the 2016 election reflects what actual election wonks have been politely saying the last few months. I know we all like the horse race and the fact that The Donald is leading the GOP but there are basic laws of elections that form the underlying groundwork of the results, even if tampered with or gerrymandered.
+The great crushing victories of 2014 by the GOP, which I thought could be blamed on the failure of the Bannock Project, the Democratic voter turnout machine, actually portends absolute disaster for the GOP in 2016.
+Lawrence O'Donnell quoting a piece by Charles Ladd, a Texas conservative, published in the Houston Chronicle, says that no Republican candidate has a credible chance to win the 2016 election. The Republicans have Zero chance of maintaining control of the Senate. 0% chance. The Democrats will win back control of the Senate.
+The reason is the Blue Wall, where none of the sitting Democratic candidates for Senate lost and where all minimum wage ballot initiatives won. The Blue Wall now includes New Hampshire. So that brings the electoral votes to 257 and O' Donnell suggests Virginia now as part of the Blue Wall. That makes it 270.
+Georgia is now in play. I would also add North Carolina.
+Republicans now have to win both Florida and Ohio. Last time they totally forgot that they have never won without Ohio.
+The Red Wall is down to 149 electoral votes.
+According to this map, the Democrats could run Elmer Fudd for President and win.
+In the Senate Republicans will defend 24 seats. Of those, 18 will be competitive races. Democrats will only have to defend 1 competitive seat.
+But then again if your a Democrat, it is wise to remember Will Rogers quip,"I don't belong to an organized party,I'm a Democrat."
