++The Times of Israel reports that Yasir Lapid of the Yesh Atid party laments the open crisis between the United States and Israel. His comments came after President Obama told CNN that Israel's interference in internal US politics over the recent Iranian nuclear deal is "unprecedented".
++Lapid said,"For 67 years Israel took care to not be aligned with any party. Today, Israel is (seen as being ) of the Republican Party.
++"We have no way of maintaining the allegiance with the United States if we don't repair this damage. The damage has Netanyahu's name on it so he is the one who must repair it."
++Lapid further maintained that the fact "there is such a deep crisis between Israel and the United States causes tremendous damage to israel's security."
++At the time of Netanyahu's speech to Congress,more mature voices in the Jewish-American community and the Israeli community warned about such a brazen affront against President Obama.
++I wrote in this blog that the collapse of a bipartisan consensus on Israel would put Israel at deeper diplomatic risk as we move forward.
