Your Democracy Stolen Last Night at The Alexandria Hilton

They couldn't even do it in Washington,D.C. The representatives of the GOP presidential campaigns met here in my home turf to write their demands for further debates to the networks.

Jeb wants control over the graphics shown during the debate. The others want a two minute opening statement and a two hour limit. The campaigns want limits on the nature of the questions asked. No more Gotcha questions about personal or business finances. Ben Carson suggested at first to have the debates on the internet and not televised. The candidates wanted no commercials during the debates. In essence, they want millions more in free air time.

A representative from the RNC was there because the lower tier candidates wanted a spot at the adult table and the right to hold their own separate debates. They all rebelled at the RNC's guidelines.

They all agreed to boycott NBC but some wanted Telemundo included in the next debate. The Trump people vetoed Telemundo but agreed that the moderators should be the National Review editors.

Now,mind you, this is in response to CNBC's debate because they felt they didn't get enough respect. RNC Chairman Rinse Penis felt they had been "Betrayed" by CNBC. I mean after all it was the network that fueled the Tea Party movement and had Larry Kudlow as a moderator. But CNBC was supposed to ask questions about the economy and they didn't like that.

Imagine is candidates could demand the type of questions they should be asked? This happened in the very tight campaign of George W. Bush but not during  the debates for the national election.

What the GOP candidates want is a rigged game. Ted Cruz suggested that only Sean Hannity, Mark Levin and Rush Limbaugh be allowed to moderate.

Josh Marshall suggested that Rinse Penis is the new John Boehner and will suffer the same fate. The proceedings had a twitter exchange with Bob Costa leaking the various motions out of the meeting. The Dailykos had a post following this grand debate.

I think they should take a page out of W's playbook and force all media to reproduce their talking points.
