The Donald Goes After Cruz

++Donald J. Trump took out after Ted Cruz in Iowa today. He brought up Cruz' Cuban background and said that not many evangelicals come from Cuba. "That's true. I do really well with evangelicals because I evangelical (Not),a presbyterian. That's really middle of the road."

++He then criticized Cruz for not backing ethanol subsidies because Ted's oil donors are against it.

++When reports emerged in the press that Ted Cruz criticized Donald's judgment in a closed room meeting. Donald tweeted," Let's make it public. It's more fun that way. Cruz was meeting with his "owners"."

++Ed Kilgore earlier in the day had a post about how Trump is trying to win Iowa the Obama way by concentrating on bringing out first-time caucus goers with his local grassroots organization that depends on peer-to-peer relationships. Cruz, on the other hand, is trying to won Iowa the Hillary Clinton way by courting interest groups, known political figures and Vander Plaats to secure the evangelical vote. Kilgore claims that is the difference in the Monmouth Poll and others. There is a disparity of who's winning. Tomorrow the Bloomberg-Selzer poll comes out that Donald did damage control on by saying "I always do poorly with Bloomberg."

++An interesting note is that there is a movement among Presbyterians to get the Donald thrown out of church. The argument is that you can not be against people's human rights and be a Presbyterian. Tell that to Andrew Carnegie and Jay Gould!
