I Thought It Was Hello,But It Was Goodby.

++David Bowie's last album provided a new direction for his music, using some of the best younger jazz talent around. I thought this was going to be a new direction which would produce results. Apparently, Bowie planned this as a parting gift to his fans and even the lyrics contained suggestions about his impending death.

++Democracyunderground has clips of Bowie throughout his career. And, believe it or not, conservative Newsmax has six months when Bowie made pop history.

++After all we can be Heroes,If Not For One Day.

++The last concert I saw in Madison Square Garden was courtesy of a business who thought Bowie was washed up. I took the tickets and Bowie played for over two hours in a highly scripted performance which ranked as one of the best I've seen in my life.

++My condolences to Iman, his beautiful wife.
