Check Out Eric Michael Dyson on The Black Presidency On Huffington Post Live

++Eric Michael Dyson has a new book out "The Black Presidency: President Obama and the Politics of Race in America." In his interview he explains the achievements and failings of President Obama on race relations. It is an insightful interview about Obama's hesitancy in dealing with race matters and his late coming to terms with the resurgent rise in racism in America. He proclaims Obama one of the ten best presidents but not for racial policy. He does mention that Obama held out the live branch too long to white conservative politicians who did not see him as legitimate. He quotes Eric Holder as saying he was like Jackie Robinson just taking it when people were derisive to him to his face. Dyson goes into how this turned into Obama take it out on the graduating class of Morehouse College by lecturing them on the pathology of the African American. Dyson reminds us of Obama's powerful speeches on the anniversary of Selma, and his sermon at Mother Emmauel. Yes,he is going to be missed.

++Dyson says that Hillary Clinton might be able to do more for the African-American community because of her privilege and that Americans expect her to do more for women without giving her grief for it.

++But like Dyson, I will miss the lean Tall man.
