+New York Times columnist David Brooks has spent the Obama years ignoring what has happened to his Republican Party and the conservative movement which he once represented. Today, he looked around at the presidential field and finally admitted what some of us have acknowledged--He will Miss President Obama.
+In a gracious column,Brooks says President Obama radiates an ethos of integrity, humanity, good manners and elegance. He praised Obama's "sound ness in decision-making",his "grace under pressure" and his "resilient sense of optimism"
+He went on to characterize the rhetoric of the Republican race as fear-mongering, pessimism and racial antagonism.
+AS if to prove Brooks' point, President Obama wrote an op-ed that praised the millennial generation as the best educated, most socially conscious and said they would determine their own future. He was of course writing on the eve of his daughter's graduation from high school.
+Contrast that with Marco Robot's refrain the same day,"In the 21st century, parents find it hard to raise their children with traditional values and their religious beliefs." How about if you trust your children? The two men couldn't be more different. President Obama has a generosity of spirit that is lacking in the current race.
+David Brooks should know it is easier to write about an Obama than agents of chaos.
