The Nominees To The Supreme Court

++ It really depends on how much fight President Obama has in him to work for confirmation.

++The most celebrated liberal lawyer of her generation is Pam Karland, who had clerked under Justice Brennan, has been a strong advocate of LGBT rights, is bisexual herself, She is considered the Left's version of Tony Scalia. She is at Stanford University Law School.

++Jane Kelly of the U. Court of Appeals for the Eight Circuit. She was unanimously confirmed in 2013. She also was the Harvard Law School classmate of President Obama.

++Amy Kloubucher--Us Senator from Minnesota. The logic is that the Senate wouldn't turn down one of their own and Gov.Dayton would appoint a Democratic replacement.

++Merrick Garland,U.S. Court of Appeals , D.C. Circuit. He has been mentioned for years as a candidate for the Supreme Court.

++Paul Watford--African-American from the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit.

++Jacqueline Nguyen--US Court OF Appeals for the 9th Circuit.

++The pundits favored choice--Sri Srinivasan, U.S. Court of Appeals for the DC Circuit. He received a 2005 Medal from the Pentagon for his work on national defense law. Has bipartisan support in normal times. Would be the first Indian American nominated to the court. In a weird way, he is perfect to be stalled. A solid choice who was approved overwhelmingly in the past. He's already here in Washington so he can be honored by being the first Indian nominated to the Supreme Court without wasting his time coming here.
