++In a press appearance before Superbowl Sunday,President Obama did a little victory lap for the 4.9% unemployment,the lowest since February 2008. He went onto say that the anxiety and frustration of people appears to be a hangover from the Great Recession. He pointed to the recovery in full time jobs in manufacturing and the service sector as well as the increase in wages.
++The economic news was a way for him to introduce his budget that would impose a $10, tax on a barrel of oil and allow us to move more rapidly to alternative fuels and to modernize our infrastructure. The trick is that the Republicans have refused to meet with President Obama to discuss the nation's budget priorities. Good Luck, Obama!
