David Brooks "No,Not Trump, Not Ever".

++Conrad Black wrote today in the Daily Mail in Canada that the "media" was creating the story the GOP was cracking up. I corrected a conservative who sent me that story, saying the GOP itself is saying it is cracking up.

++About the time George Will wrote in the Washington Post that conservatives should work for a 50-state defeat of Trump, David Brooks wrote his impressions of Trump. They were not pretty.

++He wrote "Donald Trump is especially unprepared to be President. He has no realistic policies, no advisers, no capacity to learn. His vast narcissism makes him a closed fortress. He doesn't know what he doesn't know and he has no intetjion of finding out.

++I loved this line. "He insults the office Abraham Lincoln once occupied by running for it with less preparation than most of us would undertake to buy a sofa."

++" Trump is perhaps the most dishonest person to run for high office in our lifetimes."

++" Donald Trump is an attack to the standards of honest, virtue and citizenship."

++He is precisely the kind of scapegoating, driving and deceiving demagogue they (the Founders) feared.
