Michael Tomasky On Hillary Should Attack Trump On His Strengths

++Tomasky in the Daily Beast writes that Hillary should attack him on his supposed strengths. First, she should attack on the business side--not just the bankruptcies and casinos and the mob but that businessmen are appalled by his economic positions--not the big corporations but smaller enterprises that hate uncertainty. Tomasky points out that when Romney ran, businesses actually coerced voters to vote Romney or face Obama "socialism". That's not going to happen with Trump. Unpredictability is his name.

Today for example, he proposed cutting the national debt by proposing that creditors take a bath. He claimed that he would approach the wealthy who hold Treasury bonds to take a discount. That is not innovative, that's nuts. It is also against the constitution.

Tomasky also points out the military's horror of Trump and his belief you should bring back water boarding. In an article "Trump at War" author Kroll spoke to military commanders who will resign en masse if he is elected. He talked to CIA section leaders who said their staffs would resign if Trump orders torture.

It is no coincidence that Lindsey Graham today not only came out against Trump but tweeted he would work at the federal, state and local level to get Hillary Clinton elected. That comes from the time she was on the Armed Services Committee at the Senate and the military thought she was both knowledgeable and sensitive to their issues.

The Left is complaining now about Hillary Clinton recruiting neo-conservative supporters from the Republicans. I too has qualms about her hawkishness as does Michael Moore but it has to be said that many of these people while serving in the Senate hailed her appointment as Secretary of State and are on record that she did a superb job. It's not like they are going to get jobs in the Clinton administration. But national security Republicans have been let adrift.

Tomasky point is if she hammered on Trump's "strengths" he will fold like a cheap suit.
