++Abdel-Azziz fought his whole life for a free independent Western Sahara. After the leader of the Polisario was killed in combat, he was made the President.
++The last time I saw him was at the OAU meeting in Addis-Ababa,Ethiopia. During my many visits to the Western Sahara,he made me a Son of The Sky and gave me the traditional blue robe.
++His death came as a shock to me and I am sure those in the United States who assisted the cause of a Free Western Sahara.
++He died as he lived,fighting for independence of his country. This year he was nominated for the Nobel Prize of Peace.
