+Hillary Clinton had her second press conference in as many says. This time she was surrounded by a bipartisan group of national security experts who are "alarmed by Donald Trump." In her remarks she talked about increasing sanctions on North Korea after it set off its 5th nuclear explosion and to open negotiations with the regime. She came back to the podium to answer a question about Donald Trump appearing on RT network and criticizing the United States. That's when she let loose.
+I found her tone during the press conference to be calm, reassuring, sober, and measured. She sounded like a commander-in-chief. But maybe that's her problem right now. She is campaigning in prose but not in poetry. She needs a little poetry.
+She explained the problems of campaigning as a woman in the People of New York's Facebook page--which incidentally has 30 million followers. She said that Bill Clinton and Barack Obama are natural politicians and that they rehearse being natural, something she can't pull off. She also talked about how she represses her feelings so she isn't called out on being emotional while men can shout and wave their hands around. Nancy LeTourneau at Washington Monthly did a very supportive article on how women can relate to what she was saying.
+Democrats are concerned she is not far ahead of Trump despite his enormous weaknesses and suggest she needs to change her campaign soon. I don't think you are going to get a change in tone. It has worked with her so far and actually won two elections for her. The necessary changes in her presidential campaign came early with the additional of Obama personnel.
+Unfortunately, she is the only adult running and is that too much of a burden to bear. You can't have the electorate going bonkers on you. Morning Joe said that the Commander-in-chief summit came out a tie because Trump had snappy slogans and saying and Hillary tried to get into details. There is some truth to this. Hillary Clinton released a book Stronger Together ,which has all her policies on everything and how they are going to be paid for. It's something I like about her but how do you raise the issues in a way that lifts them out of the realm of policy wonk?
+Today's press conference she showed her stuff. It reminds me of Obama's first campaign where he had to prove something to the press every day.
