++Kaine came across pre-programmed with oddles of opposition research and began shaky. But the thing is that Pence refused to defend Trump and Kaine pummelled Trump. Josh thinks it was basically even if you took the Kaine-Pence debate separately but the whole point is to defend your ticket. Pence didn't do that. He mentioned that Pence could have been McCain's running mate or Romney for his positions on Russia. But unfortunately for him,his running mate doesn't hold his positions.
++Nate Silver thought is was an awful debate and we last one news cycle and both will go into oblivion. But Kaine gave the Democrats wonderful clips with Pence saying Trump didn't say that when he did. We should expect those from here on out.
++Stephen Schmidt says Kaine will be perceived as rude while Pence will be remembered for not defending his boss and refuting Kaine's accusations. Frank Luntz said that every time Kaine opened his mouth the meter went down.
++One of the 538 crowd said that Kaine's bizarre linkage of Trump's failure to pay taxes and defending the military actually makes sense. Since Trump never paid anything to the defense budget like we all do. This person said it does hit a chord.
++Actually Reuters did a poll on Trump saying not paying taxes was good business. 2/3rd of the country said it was a patriotic duty. So maybe the 538 person was right.
++Of everyone in the race, I actually like Kaine the best for his spunk. I thought he did no harm.
