New Jersey's Senator Cory Booker appeared in the media sounding the warnings about the Trumpcare bill. He had the right tone and urgency about HEALTHCARE issues and the domino effect this bill will have on people. He succinctly said what is true, "It Means DEATH' to thousands of our fellow citizens. This is the Death Panel.
It is tough to be too strident on this bill. It simply a device for Paul Ryan to pay off the GOP's donors with a huge tax break and for him to advance to his voucher plan for Medicare. There is nothing literally nothing to advance health care in the entire bill.
On the third version,the GOP still did not talk to health policy experts or consult with the medical profession.A side effect to Obamacare was the addition of medical workers in the country.
This bill will close hospitals,predominately in rural Trump country. It will devastate populations in Appalachia from Kentucky to Pennsylvania.
New York Mayor Bill DeBlasio claims 1 million citizens in New York will lose their insurance through this bill.
Cory Booker said he was surprised that this bill was coming up for a vote because New Jerseyans crowded GOP town halls to protest the republicans' effort to repeal Obamacare. He said he had met with the GOP from New Jersey who didn't like this bill. Perhaps some calls tomorrow morning.
The new pitch for this is that you have to do it for the party.
