++In the 18 months since Newtown,there has been a school shooting every month. Today's was in Oregon.

++Since the murders at Sandy Hook,there have been 46,000 gun deaths in America. 

++To give you some idea what that means. In 18 months, 10,000 more Americans have died by gunfire than in the entire Korean War (1950-53).

++Or the killings in 18 months fall 12,000 short of the American deaths in the entire Vietnam War (1955-75).

++Or about Americans who died in 18 months is about 7 times the American deaths in nearly twenty years of fighting in Afghanistan and Iraq.

++Or Americans that died since Newtown exceed the battle casualties of: the Spanish-American war,Phillippine-American war in the 19th century,Grenada,the Panama Invasion,Somalia,the Gulf War,Afghanistan and Iraq Combined by a factor of 2.
