A Special Holiday Message from the Christians Near You

++For transparency sake, I am one of the " frozen chosen"--the name for Presbyterians. So it doesn't please me to find within the Washington Post/ABC poll on CIA interrogations,the overwhelming support for torture among Christians and the utter disdain for torture by the non-religious.

++39% of white evangelical Christians believe the CIA interrogation techniques were torture.
++53% of white protestants say they are torture.
++45% of white Catholics say they are torture.

++72% of the non-religious said they were torture

Now were these techniques justified?
Yes--69% of white evangelicals (20% said no)
Yes--75% of white non-evangelical protestants (22% said no)
Yes--66% of white Catholics (23% said no)

NO--53% of the non-religious while 41% said they were justified.

I guess no one ever expects the Spanish Inquisition. How shameful!
