+Three notebooks buried away I recovered my e-mail to access this site. I have created a new blog In A Far country for those of you who want to read other things this year.
+I really was anxious that I had let 6 and a half years of writing hang out in cyberspace. As of now, my new blog has birth pains. The font size is not as good and there is no where to describe who I am.
+So appropriate to where we were, the Times of Israel urges Hillary to mend the gap between Bibi and the United States. Hillary is said to have a good relationship with Bibi and supported his Gaza operation. She was also instrumental in the first Gaza ceasefire.
+Hillary took the first turn away from President Obama today when she urged military training and arms shipments to the Ukraine.
+The Pentagon today said that the Russian S-3000s were already factored into the US' plan if it comes to bombing Iran.
+Politico had to admit that the Corker bill after the amendments was a coup--not for Congress but the White House. The final bill made it very unlikely that Congress could kill the Iranian nuke deal.
+John Kerry told the G-7 Foreign Ministers that the President would get the deal approved when it was done.
+President Rouhani of iran said he was negotiating with the global powers, not Congress. Later he said the vote for an internal affair of the United States.
+President Obama was tinkering again with Obamacare by changing the rules for wellness programs in businesses.
+Tennessee's House approved the bible as its state book.
+Georgia approved medical marijuana.
+Bobby Jindal has doubled down on the Religious Freedom Act.
+While Mike Pence's approval rating has gone into the toilet, politico is now talking about John Kasich running for President.
+Lincoln Chaffee announced for the Democratic race--sort of. First he said he was 100% in and then his aide pulled it back.
+Ted Cruz thinks the Second Amendment is meant to protect us from the government. Lindsey Graham said, Wait a minute, we did that already in South Carolina" and it didn't turn out very well.
+Colorado really may be on the verge of approving a Personhood Bill.
+VOX looked at Obama's coalition and Hillary's and found something out--they are the same. There is little difference in the support each person has in the key demographics.
+At least 50 Democratic House members including John Lewis have come out in support of Hillary.
+Remember Superdelegates?
+Feminist groups have come out because Hillary has been the most vocal supporter of women's rights on the global stage.
+Thom Hartman interviewing Eleanor Clift today raised the issue whether Hillary's feminism would not spur on misogyny the same way Obama kicked off a reassurance of racism in the country.

By the Way
+John Kerry is back at Lausanne for the final leg of the talks with Iran on a nuclear deal. Iranian President Rouhani has been making a flurry of calls to international leaders to support a deal. The US is cagy about the terms but Salehi, the nuclear negotiator for Iran, says the technical aspect is done.
+Israel called for a postponement of the talks because Iran is actively engaging in Yemen on the side of the rebels. It was ignored.
+The investigative reporter who procured the Pentagon's assessment of the Israeli nuclear program through the Freedom of Information Act is now seen by the right to simply be an instrument of Obama getting even with Bibi. Which I guess took several years of filing until the time is right.
+John Kerry warned that if a deal isn't struck ,the centrifuges keep spinning and the sanctions fall away.He criticized the critics of the deal for never stepping up and providing a constructive alternative.
+Francois Hollande said that Iran had the right to produce nuclear fuel for energy but not for weapons and that France was working to ensure this.
+It seems that General Suleiman of the Revolutionary Guard may be Karla but as a general leaves much to be desired. He has been the commander for the three week offensive against ISIS in Tikrit but hasn't managed to seize the small town despite tremendous odds on his side.
+Now the Iraqi government had to call in American air power for the siege. The Shi'ite militias are stranding down because they don't want to collaborate with the Americans.
+The Saudis and the Egyptians are now invading Yemen, which is in total chaos. Its President has fled, its National Defense Chief has been captured and the television stations seized.

Iran Opposes American Intervention
+Leslie Gelb and others proposed that the United States can coordinate its actions on Iraq with Iran. This idea was floated when Iranian President Rouhani suggested that Tehran was interested in assisting. But today, the hammer came down. Ayatollah Ali Kamenei came out strongly to oppose American intervention in Iraq. Last night ,the Shiite militias also told BBC journalists that they don't want Americans back.
+Secretary of State John Kerry is en route to Baghdad with a stop in Egypt where he urged President al-Sisi to create a government of diversity to prevent further violence.
+I'm sympathetic to these calls for more inclusive governments in the area and think that represents our core national interests but there are some hard truths. We selected Prime Minister al-Maliki and we have given him billions to prop up his regime. He has purged the army of anyone except loyalists. He has developed a system of corruption within each ministry and where he has the portfolio he gets a cut of every contract. He's come a long way from the days when he was working as a butcher in Damascus. He has allowed Iranian intelligence control of his own intelligence agency. What is the incentive for him to leave when he received greater votes than before in the last election? And who are we at this stage to pressure him to leave?
+Are we at the stage again where we might have to accept the Saddam proposal--I'll leave if I can keep $1billion?
+Ayatollah Sistani beat us to the punch when he called on all Iraqis to defend the country and sanctioned the mobilization of the Shiite militias.
+The Shiite fighters who were off fighting to defend Assad are returning home. It should be remembered that Maliki supplied arms to the Assad government and ignored our request to stop fly-overs from Iran to resupply the Syrian army.
+Dick Cheney did battle with Rand Paul this morning. Rand Paul said we created a jihadist play land in Iraq and Libya. Cheney decried Paul's isolationism and warned of another 9-11 as he has warned of another 9-11 since 9-11 when he failed to heed warnings the first time.
+The American Embassy has scattered in many directions as many have been evacuated to Erbil and other consulates. The same is being done in Nairobi, Kenya, where Islamic militants rampaged through coastal towns.
+Maybe we should heed the advice of a former Vermont Senator during Vietnam, "Let's declare victory and come home."
