NOW TRUMP ADMITS RUSSIAN INTERFERENCE AND BLAMES OBAMA FOR NO ACTION

Naturally he doesn't acknowledge Putin was working for his victory. Trump has his Obama Jones.

Democracyunderground has two clips--1. the Rachel Maddow show on Friday and 2. Hayes on the Washingtonpost piece on Obama's secret struggle against the Russian interference

The point of these pieces was that the CIA had someone placed very close to Putin who saw Putin direct the whole-ranging operation against America.  The intelligence was "silo-ed" so that it took a little longer to gain consensus. Obama tried to get a bipartisan statement warning about Russian interference but Republican leadership in Congress nixed it. The Obama administration offered assistance to the states but many Republican states refused. 

The Obama White House was walking a tightrope because Trump had made a pitch that the election was rigged and making a unilaterally pitch would be seen as tipping the scales for Clinton and fueling the perception that the election was rigged and that it could not be trusted.

John Brennen called his counterpart in the VSB to knock it off and Obama used the red phone to Putin to say not to tamper with the results on election day.

The Obama administration was preparing for the worse and a fifty state effort by the Russians. Obama authorized a covert action to detonate digital bombs on Russia infrastructure but left its implementation to the Trump administration.

What has transpired is that not only were we hacked from abroad but also that Russian national were active in the States. Both the State Department and the FBI were alarmed by the number of Russians with IT skills applying for temporary visas. 

The tensions between the two countries reached the stage of red alert. And yes out voting machines can be hacked as the Senate intelligence committee found out this week from academic computer scientists who actually hack machines for their studies.

Trump has pure gall to go after Obama on this issue since his campaign fed the Russians the voter lists. It was Obama who had to walk the tightrope so we did not move into a hot war. TRUMP AND RUSSIA PROBE

This morning's Washington Post has several articles on the Russian interference. Key is the article about how President Obama tried to cope with Putin's interference. Naturally,Mitch McConnell nixed a bipartisan statement blasting Russia. Nifty secret memos and the fact that the CIA had a source deep inside the Kremlin that could report that Putin had made a shift to Trump.

Tump this morning asserted that all of Muller's aides are all Clinton supporters. Trump throated to fire Mueller and has started the campaign against Mueller's integrity.

Fox News had a reporter for the Daily Mail on that asserted Comey went to the New York Times with his story. (FALSE)

Dan Coats, National Intelligence Director ,said that Trump was obsessed with the Russia probe.

The FBI has opened another investigation into Manafort and his brother-in-law.

The House Intelligence Committee said they are investigating whether the Trump campaign used voter lists stolen by Russia.

And-YES!,RexTillerson has opened an investigation into Hillary's e-mail server and whether Hillary should be stripped of her security clearance.

EARLIER IN THE DAY

A Nobel-prize winning cardiologist told the Boston Globe that Trump knew he had interviewed Gorbachev and asked him about the Russian leader. Trump's idea was to be appointed US ambassador to the Soviet Union. It was about that time that the CIA put a tail on him in Moscow. So his Russia mania goes back to the late 1980s.

RUSSIAN SPIES

Penthouse has received three offers of Trump's golden shower videos,one of which was made at the Ritz-Carlton in Moscow. No one knows whether they are real. 

Josh Marshall in "Hall of Mirrors" has his analysis of the Russia scandal. Josh points to our intelligence telling the Israelis not to share their deep secrets with the Trump administration for fear they will got to Russia and then to Iran. Josh points out that the Israelis leaked it to one of Israeli's leading investigative reporters. 

General Flynt ,it was reported, was on the phone several times to the Russian ambassador when Obama invoked additional sanctions on Russia. Flynt who has been linked to Russia broke protocol with the call and no one knows what he said.

Trump this morning is still going bananas on the Russia report and news organizations that still report on it.

The Right tried to discredit the dossier on Trump. Turns out it was written by the former Russia Desk man at MI-6, who also assisted on the Russian doping investigation in the Olympics.

This morning the White House released a photo of Obama and Biden examining the dossier on Trump.
