For People Complaining That Hillary Clinton Declared Victory Too Soon..

++Roughly 92% of the vote is called. Hillary leads Bernie 49.8% to 49.5%. BUT SHE LEADS DELEGATES 27 to 21 and Her Districts ARE REPORTING NOW. Bernie doesn't have a lot left on the table.

Josh Marshall Thought the Iowa Caucus Was A Win For The GOP

++He explains this by saying that Rubio's strong performance gave the GOP a way out of a disaster of Ted Cruz nor Donald Trump.

++The Donald did a straight political speech by reminding people that he was believed not to have finished in the top 10 in Iowa months go and that he may buy a farm. He was actually gracious and congratulated Ted Cruz. He did not mention Marco Rubio.

++The question is whether Trump's large lead in New Hampshire will hold up. I don't think one defeat if going to deter the Donald. He cited the polls in the upcoming states so he is the man to be targeted.

++I can't stand Marco Rubio or Ted Cruz. Despite the Donald's hideous politics, I understand him better because of his radio appearances with Howard Stern, something the other characters wouldn't take a gamble on.

++Be prepared to hear more about Rubio's brother-in-law and his financial problems. And what about the "secret family"? It's not so easily to see the establishment come around a candidate this early in the process so you will hear the goods on Marco.

++I am flummoxed by all the Washington pundits--Democrats and Republicans--who say that Rubio is the One. I have never seen it and I think his debate performances have not shown me anything.

Predictwise

++The pundits are calling it a big night for Marco Rubio. Predictwise has him at a 55% chance to get the nomination,Trump 31%, Cruz 7%, Bush 5%. Earlier in the day, Trump was at 51% chance to get the nomination.

++Rubio's speech lasted longer than I reported and he invoked his parents who were not Americans when he was born (He didn't say that) and the New American Century Project, which is over twenty years old. He tried to be inspiring ala Obama but I'm afraid the man doesn't have the cadence or poetry of the great man.

++Rubio did OK with the wealthier suburbs and college towns. My father-in-law's country went over 50% for the Donald. Cruz won the rural "Christian" community.

Rubio's Speech Seemed To Me Lame And He Was Not Rejoicing About His Finish.
