The Univision Debate

+So if you are fro Bernie Sanders,he won. If you are for Hillary Clinton she won.

+What you heard that hasn't been in Republican debates is a discussion of climate change, Roe vs. Wade, Citizens United and the normalization of relations with Cuba.

+Also who was more humane and comprehensive in the debate over immigration policy.

+Hillary Clinton was asked about a possible indictment over her emails and whether she lied to the relatives of the Benghazi victims. The question drew large boos and she handled it well.

+I still think Bernie Sanders is too hectoring and puts on too much rage. The audience liked it but his specific answers left much to be desired.

+Hillary Clinton logically dismantled Donald Trump's rationale for the Wall. She was pointedly asked about fitting for fences on the border and said that the border is secure and now we need to move to comprehensive immigration.

+I thought Sanders still has not answered his opposition to Ted Kennedy's 2007 immigration reform bill. I know in the weeds part of the bill focused on immigrant labor but that doesn't explain all of Sanders' reservations.

+Conservatives have complained that the Democratic debates never mention ISIS or Islamic terrorism.

+I thought Sanders has to explain his "financial speculation tax". Is it that same as the Financial Transaction Fee on stock trades? A good idea but he is murky.

+I found the criticism of Obama and Clinton presidencies a little much without the gapping wound called George W. Bush.

+Still don't buy Sanders' argument on single payer after we are barely holding on to Obamacare.

+Don't really think the debate moved the needle.

+The Hispanic moderators killed sanders on his admiration for Fidel Castro and Daniel Ortega and Hillary pointed out she did not believe in that type of "revolution of values."

+Don't know how Sanders' pounding on Hillary's Wall Street connections does anyone any good. After Michigan, pundits said it did him alot of good but delegate counts say otherwise.

+Hillary tried to address the Washington Post story that only 30% of Americans believe she is trustworthy. I thought her answer was adequate but not satisfactory.

+I wish Sanders would get his story straight on the so-called bailout of the auto industry. It was like Hillary just remembered all the monies were paid back and the auto industry was saved without costing Americans a dime.

+Hillary tried to answer Elizabeth Warren's complaint that top level Treasury officials in Obama and Clinton administrations came from the Citigroup. Hillary said she would implement Senator Tammy Baldwin's bill to correct the situation.

+I get a sense that Bernie is retro. Hillary made the point that strengthening Dodd-Frank is adequate for the banks and that other regulations are needed for other parts of the economy. Bernie won't admit anything has been done.

+Hillary is already at the general election in saying she would maintain alot of Obama's executive orders as well as his Power Plant plan. Bernie said he would delay implementing the plan.

+Two good candidates. It's a shame this wasn't a straight presidential debate. If you think about it. This was equivalent of Obama-McCain where there was an agreement on problems and a divergence on approach.

+I think both of them appearing on the Fox Townhall was good practice and again Hillary took on the email issue straight on.

+The other mundane issue was that both candidates were reality based. Tune in tomorrow night for the Republicans and the Twilight Zone.
