Forget calling your opponent a nasty lady. They are alot of nasty ladies who are going to vote against him.
Forget that he suggested the attack on Mosul was for Hillary's benefit.
Forget again that he won't say whether he paid income taxes.
Forget that he still wouldn't accept that Putin was trying to manipulate our elections despite Chris Wallace insisting Clinton was right.
All the tweeting being done tonight by pundits left or right concern his refusal to accept the results of the election. Never been done that a major candidate before the vote questions the legitimacy of the election.
When Brit Hume abandoned you and Bret Stephens from the Wall Street Journal. You know you have crossed the line. This is the only takeaway from this debate. A man praising Putin,Assad and the Iranians and running down American democracy.
Josh marshall has more to say but in sum Josh didn't think he changed the trajectory of this race.
A Few nifty things Hillary Did:
She slipped in how Trump when he lost the emmy complained it was rigged and then she listed a litany of things he said were rigged when he didn't get his way.
She managed to get in his whole page ad criticizing Ronald Reagan in the New York Times. And he agreed that he criticized Reagan.
She gave the most full-throated defense of Roe v. Wade I have heard in a debate. Also defended Planned Parenthood. And didn't backdown on partial-birth abortion. She was right to bring up the horrible choice the woman has to make when her pregnancy goes horribly wrong.
She also managed to say she thinks global climate change is a threat, even though no questions were asked about it.
She also didn't fall for the entitlement trap on the national debt.
If you are a progressive, Hillary should not have disappointed you tonight.
