Andrew Sullivan's Daily Dish has a feature called A View from Your Window in which readers submit photographs of what the world outside their home windows looks like. A simple idea but the results have been wonderful. Last year's photos are now released as a book by the Atlantic magazine.
The photos take you around the world by time, season and country. The effect is a microscopic version of the great NASA photo of Planet Earth, which was the first time humanity saw its home. This book shows you Planet Earth as a bunch of homes linked all together. The book is a wonderful tool for meditaton.
Ultimately, you have to ask,"Don't we want to save this."
