++For an interesting and informative op-ed, Charles Lane in the Washington Post, no-fan of President Obama, explains some of the misunderstandings critics have of the TPP.
++He points out that many of the countries involved actually have higher minimum wages and sometimes higher salaries than Americans. He also points out that many of the countries involved already have bilateral free trade agreements with the United States. And with those countries we have trade surpluses. He points to low-wage countries as few and that the extent of trade is not vast.
++On the other hand, you have the problem that Diane Feinstein encountered when she read the TPP in its secret room. She was prohibited from taking notes. Not only is this restrictive practice less conducive to beguiling trust with the Senators, few elected representatives have even taken the time to go and read the agreement.
