IRAN COMPLIES WITH The IAEA REQUEST ON INFO ON NUCLEAR PAST

++Iran had until October 15 to satisfy the IAEA with a statement and documents about its past nuclear program. Iran had been stonewalling the oversight group for years on this aspect of the nuclear program, which the West suspected as having a military dimension. Their action today allows the IAEA to produce the report they promised the P5+1. Iran's fulfillment was one of the conditions for lifting the sanctions.

++Senator Graham, who is chairs the Senate Committee overseeing the IAEA's work and budget threatened the group with cutting off all their funding if it doesn't cooperate with the United States.

++Watch this space because I always predicted that the deal would fail if the inspectors were not adequately funded. I suspect delays in inspections will be caused by this, rather than Iran's resistance.
