Ed Kilgore in NEW YORK magazine says that Senator Enzi's motion today for a budget reconciliation just tied up the action for Obamacare Repeal. The GOP wants to see the Repeal on Trump's desk by February.
Kilgore says that even though the Democrats can't filibuster they can introduce amendments that will spell out everything the ACA does. For instance, get the Republicans to vote against every good thing the ACA does. For instance, preventive medicine. Or lifetime caps. Or parents being able to insure their children to the age of 26. Make it as long and drawn out as possible. Make the Repeal as painful in public as the Democrats can make it.
Then the Republicans have to say how long before the repeal takes place. One year, two years,three years. This would make it obvious they don't have a plan.
If they are going to destroy the union,make them do it publicly.
