Republicans are hell-bent on erasing Obama from history. On the First day, Trump says he will repeal all of Obama's executive orders, which somehow the Republicans claimed was a "lack of constitutional etiquette".
Obama issued 260 executive orders, which put him down there or up there with Calvin Coolidge.
Tim Egan in his column "Erasing Obama" points out that his solid legacy is having the longest period of job creation in American history. But he points out that Trump will wreck that within a few months because of trade wars, and strange tax policies.
Egan goes on to write how eliminating Obamacare will hurt the Trump supporters the most. (I maintain it will hurt all of his.)
But Egan is right--Trump can't erase the image of a classy, eloquent , family values guy who operated with measured rationality. That guy is forever.
