NYT RELEASES NEW TORTURE MATERIAL.
More declassified CIA torture materials were released in the ACLU case before federal court. The court also ordered the executive to submit the whole Torture Report so it can be preserved by the court by February 10. Interestingly enough it was Judge Lambeth, first appointed by Reagan, who said he would hold the executive in comp tempt if they didn't comply. Judge Lambeth played an heroic role in the Cobell Indian Law Case where he held the entire Department of the Interior under George W. Bush in contempt and actually held hearing in the department. In that case, the US hid or destroyed all records of what the American Indians were owed. Eric Holder settled the case paying indian tribes billions owed them on royalties.
