++A federal judge gave the Administration until today to argue why 2,000 photos of American detention centers in Iraq and Afghanistan should not be released to the public. Those who have seen the photos say they are more shocking than those of Abu Ghraib.

++Progressives have criticized President Obama for whipping Democratic votes for the budget and not being tough enough. Simple politics shows that the government would be funded until next fall and many of his initiatives such as aid to the Honduran refugee his and Ebola research got in.
++Sadly, the budget is about the best Obama is going to see for the rest of his term and any delay would have made the budget even more horrible.
++Interesting fact is that it seemed the austerity hawks were in remission.
