++At least 120 pages were cut from the executive summary of the Senate Intelligence Report on Torture but , it was finally released despite the barrage of torture supporters trying to kill it.
++I'll have more when I have time to digest it but the picture is very ugly and brutal. It is important that the American people know what has been done in its name.
++Anthony Romero of the ACLU wrote an op-ed piece for the New York Times reversing his prior opinion on pardons for the torture players. Now he thinks that it should be done to reinforce the notion that torture is illegal and should never be done. He notes that President Obama eliminated the program by executive order and that another president could re-start the program given other circumstances. A pardon neutralizes that possibility.
