Countdown Starts For Lame Congress

++No one would care about the lame duck Congress except that the remaining ten days are the only time of the year that Congress needs to work.

++The Beltway punditry is whispering about how Boner can prevent a government shutdown. But no one cares whether the government closes or not.

++Congress has to pass a stopgap budget. President Obama's requests for additional funds to cover the child refugees of Central America, Ebola and the airstrikes in Syria. All had been requested before the last Congressional break. 

++The Patriot Act is expiring and so is the time for NSA reform. Time is running out on whether the Torture Report will be published. Also December 11th is the time when President Obama's authority to wage war against ISIS is over unless Congress reauthorizes.
