The Ronald Reagan Defense Forum met at the Reagan library and mulled over the Trump victory. Dick Cheney said that the selection of General Mattis "would help curb Trump's more outrageous ideas". That was Dick "Torture man "Cheney. What more outrageous ideas does Trump have?
Cheney went on to say that Russia posed the most dangerous threat to our strategic interests. The foreign minister of Norway was there to say her government was frightened at Russia's buildup around the Baltic states and wanted Trump to make his policy toward Putin clear and direct.
Lindsey Graham continued to by appalled at Trump and his call to Taiwan. The new Prime Minister of Singapore warned the United States about hostile actions with China. Graham said that the biggest loser in 2016 was American Asian relations. He said this was because of the rejection of the TPP by both campaigns.
Coming from the NeverTrump camp of the Republican Party the discussion indicated tough waters ahead for foreign policy.
