Paul Ryan won't say how long it will be for the GOP to have a replacement for the ACA. The health insurance industry has warned that repealing it would create chaos in the health insurance industry and mayhem in America's hospitals.
When the ACA was first being debated,this blog alerted the reader to the health industry's conference among their accountants. They maintained that without ACA premium rates would skyrocket and vastly more people would be without insurance. The same applies with the repeal of the ACA.
Ryan proposes bailing out the health insurance industry to compensate them for their losses. No word about Americans.
Ryan also said he didn't know when the GOP would get around to putting restrictions on food stamps. The HOuse wants to put a drug testing element to these restrictions. As I've noted,drug testing has cost taxpayers millions of dollars and found few results.
Chuck Schumer said that if the Republicans want to destroy the American healthcare system they will own it. No,Chuck,the idea is to prevent these goons from succeeding.
