THE MINORITY GOVERNMENT

E.J. Dionne has a column today about the problems of a minority government. E,J. points out that the Democratic Senate minority represents 55.5% of the American electorate and that Hillary Clinton won then popular vote by 2%. E.J. Dionne raises the issue that this is twice in 16 years we have had a minority government and that is a constitutional crisis.

For what it's worth, I do not think Hillary Clinton lost the electoral vote. Governor Scott threw out 160,000 votes in Florida, Michigan basically disenfranchised Detroit,Wisconsin had several tampered election machines and state officials have admitted double counting Trump and Pennsylvania would need a forensic audit.

Michigan passed a more restrictive voter ID law today that I am sure would pass muster with Jeffrey Beauregard Sessions II.

For the by-election, Democrats need not only to focus on Get Out The Vote Efforts but also need to discuss true ground rules for counting the vote. Early voting this year was treated like provisional ballots and the verification depended on arbitrary standards fluctuating from one polling place to the next. This has to be straightened out before America has any chance of surviving.
