++ Ed Kilgore at Washington Monthly writes"President Obama didn't give the speech the Republicans wanted". It's a fun read about the petulant take of conservatives about the speech. The President basically ignored the mid-terms which conservatives believe negated the 2008 and 2012 elections and is bringing the unstoppable conservative triumphant. He cites Bryon York's piece in the Washington Examiner contrasting the graciousness of George W. Bush on Nancy Pelosi becoming Speaker of the House to President Obama ignoring Mitch McConnell, the single most obstructionist against the President, becoming leader of the Senate. Brian Beutler comments that the Republicans bring nothing to the table with regards to any of the subjects President Obama mentioned. Ezra Klein at VOX remarked that if President Romney was delivering the same speech citing America's economic progress the ovations would be so loud that he couldn't speak.
