++The Saudi King is the Guardian of the Two Great Mosques and the site of Islam's holiest shrines. We tend to forget the Saudis have responsibility for all the pilgrimages to Mecca, which is a religious responsibility of all Moslems around the world.
++It will be interesting to see what direction their rivalry with Iran and their attitude to Sunni extremism goes. The Yemen government on its border just resigned today. In the past they supported the Wahhabism that fueled Al Qaeda,the mujahaddin in Afghanistan, militants in Pakistan and most recently ISIS.
++Senator Bob Graham has kept up his campaign to declassified the 28 pages of the 9-11 report, which details the involvement of Saudi spies in the United States in defense of the 9-11 hijackers as well as the participation of members of the royal family.
++By 2009, American officials were saying Saudi Arabia under King Abdullah was part of the solution. It was his proposal that the Arab League adopted to recognize Israel if there was progress in the Palestinian issue.
