++Early this morning Pope Francis released "Laudato Si" (Be Praised), his encyclical about the environment.
++The Catholic Church worldwide has been preparing months for this encyclical by local priests and bishops talking about a dialogue on climate change. The idea is that the encyclical gives Pope Francis lead tim before his journey to the United States and presentations to the United Nations. All will lead up to the climate change conference in Paris later this year.
++Fox News described Pope Francis as scary and the most dangerous man in the world. Right-wing websites like Joseph Farah's World Nut Daily is basically apoplectic about the Pope suggesting he is a "red". Although he seems to be the "Green Pope".
++Following the G-7 Summit where the largest economies of the world promised to phase out fossil fuels in 50 years,The Pope's encyclical adds momentum to climate concerns and the motivation to act.
++The Pope addresses the encyclical to all humankind and not just to co-religionists.
++He tweeted this morning:
"I invite all to pause to think about the challenges we face regarding care for our common home."
" We need a new dialogue about how we are shaping the future of our planet."
