Angela Strikes Again--G-7 Agrees to Abandon Fossil Fuels By The End Of The Century

++Angela Merkel out climate change at the top of the G9 summit and browbeat Japan and Canada to accept severe carbon emissions limits for the Paris Meeting. Merkel is also a chemist who has put intensive effort into climate change initiatives in the past. She was especially ashamed, at the result of the Copenhagen summit and vowed that would never happen again.

++President Obama in his closing remarks emphasized Merkel and Hollande's efforts in reaching a G-7 agreement on this issue.

++The countries pledged to keep emissions at a level that would stop any rise above a 2c rise in temperature, which scientists have concluded would make disaster irreversible.

++To pledge to ween your way from fossil fuel by the end of the century is a major commitment. No major powers have ever made such a statement, let alone the leading economies of the world.
