"The Nazi Conscience" by Claudia Koonz , Harvard, 2003. It is as bad as this. Koon, a professor of history at Duke, examines how the perpetrators of genoccide had a powerful sense of right and wrong, based on civic values that exalted the moral righteousness of the ethnic community and denounced outsiders. The Nazi Conscience examines the chilling saga of a media campaign that extinguished neighborliness ,respect and ,ultimately, compassion fopr all those banished from the ethnic majority.
Van Jones in Toronto talked about how the 2016 election boiled down to tribalism. Basically, only whites no matter the class or educations voted for Trump while every other racial and ethnic group voted fro Clinton.
Now what about the Muslim registry. Why problem is that meant to solve? The Muslims are among the best educated Americans, most entrepreneurial and wealthier Americans and they don't commit crimes. A handful of terrorist attacks in the last few years warrant this?
Koonz tells you how this is done.
