Josh Marshall threw some shade on Jill Stein's fund-raising for recounts. The number she has requested has gone up considerably and we don't know yet if she filed in Wisconsin. We do know the Wisconsin election officials have sent out notices to the state to elicit estimates of costs about a hand recount.
Marshall is ekptical about the whole thing but then more information has appeared that suggests large discrepancies in vote tallie in the three states and Florida. In Florida voter-activists and cuberrsecurity people have questioned how mathematically could Trump had won with the early voting so dominant by Clinton. Trump would have had to secure about 70% of the remaining votes. In Floirda, activists have suggested that the Secretary of State call for a recount, not because of closeness but because of how odd the results are.
Unfortunately in Pennsylvania, there are no paper ballots and auditing the election would be difficult because all the machines would have to be impounded now.
In Michigan, the unofficial results have a negligible lead by Trump and an improbable results in the city of Detroit.
Adding to the problem of this election is the FBI report that the voting machine company that supplied North Carolina was hacked by the Russians.
On top of this are reports that Russia established phony websites to send to 14 million viewers phony news aimed against Clinton ,not Trump.
But it has to be stressed that Hillary Clinton and her campaign has shown no signs of calling for any recount. But her popular lead has grown to over 2.5 million.
