99 DAYS TO GO.

+This morning starts with Trump still tweeting against the Khans. For three days this has gone on and Trump doesn't realize the damage it is causing his campaign. Pence dumbly responded that Trump's plan for banning Muslims would have spared the Khans their grief. Meanwhile Hillary Clinton is responding to questions about Trump's treatment of the Khans.

+The Russian issues keeps morphing as the New York Times reports this morning on Paul Manafort's dealings in the Ukraine and Trump surrogates defending Trump's position that Russian didn't seize the Crimea.

+For reasons that escape me, The New York Post printed yesterday nude photos of Melania trump and today nude photos of her and another woman model together. The Post is owned by Rupert Murdoch. What's the reasoning here?

+The Clinton-Kaine campaign through Pennsylvania and Ohio has ended. At every stop, the team mentioned that Trump outsources all his goods and noted local manufacturers that could have done each item. Quiet and steady through all the stops. The campaign signed up volunteers and encouraged voter registration at the end of each program.

+I guess the next kerfuffle is Trump's claim that the debate schedule was rigged by the Democrats. He claimed the NFL sent him a letter about the schedule. It claims they did not. He backtracked. The Presidential Debate Commission is non-partisan and they issued a statement yesterday that they checked the calendar for holidays, religious dates, sporting events and came up with their calendar. They said it was created eight months ago. Well,Reince Preibus said,"Hey maybe we should look it over again."

+Josh Marshall wrote two pieces about how Trump is using this fake controversy to get out of the debates.

+Trump says he is not under any pressure to release his taxes. He claims he has a permanent audit--something that people with complicated finances sometimes do--and will release it after it is done. He claims Mitt Romney didn't lose because of the "47%" comment but because he released his taxes. But every other modern candidate for President has released taxes.

+I don't see how anything gets better from here. General Allen responded to Trump's attack on him. It seems the media are now covering those people insulted by Trump in a way that ties him up. He can not control himself and that is being used to demonstrate he does not have the temperament to be President.

+The polls are reverting to form. So my question is about money. The Democratic party sent scats of fund-raising e-mails out crying Trump bought $2 million of airtime in the swing states. But I thought Hillary bought several times more.

+Trump's campaign schedule seems erratic. The day after the DNC, he was in Scranton, Pennsylvania promising he would revive coal. The next day he is in Colorado Springs waiting to be called on by the Koch Brothers who told the press they weren't funding him after assorted billionaires  begged them to. Then Trump covered his tracks by saying he had a huge haul of funds and didn't need their money.

+The New York Times reported yesterday that if Trump loses Florida,Pittsburgh and Ohio it's the ballgame.

+It is obvious that the Trump campaign is not gaining on Clinton and has real amateurs as surrogates.

+What next?
