Afternoon

+The Hill says that John Kerry hasn't ruled out running in 2016. What next? Al Gore.

+Ezra Klein's The Vox has an interesting interview with President Obama on his strategic vision. It's conducted by Matt Iglesias.

+Pennsylvania Tom Wolfe is extending Medicaid the normal way without gimmicks.

+Tennessee and Wyoming killed their governor's plan to extend Medicaid. Why? Because the Americans for Prosperity, the Koch created and funded group campaigned against it.

+Meanwhile in states where Medicaid hasn't been extended, hospitals and ERs are closing down. One such state is Bobby Jindal's Louisiana.

+The Koch Brothers are mounting a campaign against Medicaid in Montana but facing fierce resistance.

+Alabama celebrated its first same sex marriage and it becomes the 37th state to recognize them.

+This didn't please Clarence Thomas who went gonzo in his dissent to the Court's not recognizing a stay.

+Thomas may have let the cat out of the bag when he uttered the Court has already made up its mind on same sex ,arraign. Let's hope.

+The case against Obamacare got even more squirrelly today when the woman teacher who is a plaintiff said she was never asked to join the suit and hasn't heard from the lawyers ever and doesn't want people to lose their health insurance. Technically, she is the only plaintiff who is legit, the others qualify for other insurance and would not be penalized by ACA.

+Yes, the net neutrality plan offered by the FCC is really net neutrality. I have been bombarded from right-wingers complaining about the FCC "regulating the internet" all day. The right is about to blitz the airwaves with "pretend" net neutrality ads and propositions. Please don't buy into it.

+And in the I told you so department, the FBI has been going around interviewing citizens who oppose Keystone XL Pipeline. That's why I was concerned about the government eventually going after 350.org. Environmentalists are the next terrorists. Watch this space for more.

+The New York Times had a piece on Eric McDavid ,who was convicted for environmental terrorism--i.e.plotting to destroy property--and had to be released after 9 years in prison because the government withheld thousands of documents that showed the government had entrapped him through an informer who seduced him. The documents showed that it was the informer who proposed the acts of sabotage and he resisted them until he fell in love with her. He was freed after he signed an agreement that said he would not sue the government for wrongful arrest. He was first held in a SuperMax prison in solitary until later he was sent to a more relaxed setting. His case is not the only ones.

+So called environmental terrorists were jailed during both the Clinton and W Administrations in secret prisons in then Midwest.

+Meanwhile TransCanada has stepped up their sales pitch in D.C. for the Keystone XL Pipeline. Their claim is now 42,000 jobs. Thing about it--that's only 1/6th of the jobs created in one month during this recovery. You would risk our aquifers for that?

+Naomi Wolf seems to have gone off the deep end. She is now on the internet saying that the ISIS videos are fake and she maintains the whole Ebola panic was a hoax--that is, it really didn't exist.
