STOP THE LIES ABOUT TERRORISM

This is a public service announcement. Please inform anyone you talk to.

Since 9/11, every terrorist or person involved in terrorist-related activity has been arraigned in American criminal courts.

Every one of them has been read his "miranda" rights--both under Bush and under Obama.

Every one of them has talked and given intelligence to American authorities.

It is not true that Robert Reid was put into our criminal justice system because the "apparatus" was not ready. He was tried in 2003.

Jose Padilla was declared an enemy combatant and put into military custody and said nothing. When he was placed into our court system and given his miranda rights, he talked.

Almost all the interrogations were done by the FBI. The gonad bomber gave up the identity of English-speaking terrorists in Yemen and now there is a global manhunt underway to capture them.

There is no "enhanced interrogation" --it was a program by all legal, medical, historical and cultural definitions that was "torture". Sleep deprivation, waterboarding, stress positions, etc. are torture by domestic and international law and by the definition of the International Red Cross, which has been given the task of defining it. Torture is a war crime.

All U.S. military personnel opposed the torture policy. The FBI refused to allow members to even sit in on the interrogations because it feared legal ramifications for personnel. Almost all the initial information received by civil libertarians and the ACLU on torture came from self-proclaimed "conservatives" serving in the military who were ashamed of this policy.

The systematic torture of Khalid Sheik Muhammed did not reveal great threats to America but it was timed to extract justifying evidence for the invasion of Iraq by linking Saddam Hussein to Al Qaeda.

When you hear any Republican talked about Obama's counter-terrorism program, just change the dial. They are either lying or simply ignorant.

Yes, it is true we have a black President of the United States and a black Attorney-General.
Live with it.
