Chait's point, which he has written a new book on,is that Dodd-Frank won't be repealed, just not enforced by Trump, and other regulations the same but once a Democrat is back in power they will be. He quotes Obama as saying history is not reversed ,it sometimes goes sideways. Nothing can erase his role in bringing the economy back from the brink of destruction or saving the auto industry. Even Obamacare may get twisted somehow into Trumpcare, but the basic rethinking of healthcare in this country has changed. He also points to education where the Obama Administration spent more than the GI Bill on upper education and snuck money in the stimulus that produced more high school graduates than ever before.
Chait says that the GOPdownplays his legacy but he changed things so much that it is like we are having a new Reconstruction in reaction.
