Odds and Ends

++The Donald wins two more polls with over 20%. The Dailykos which coined the term" Good News for John McCain" whenever something happened in 2008. NOw has "Good News for Jeb!" because of Bush's insistence Trump is taking away votes from Walker but also beating JEB! by double digits.

++Ezra Klein at VOX says that the tabs for the polls show that TRUMP wins every GOP demographic. For three times-married candidate, who says he never asks forgiveness from God,wins the born-gain vote.

++The Donald wants to close down the government over Planned Parenthood. He also went after Hillary Clinton 's aide because she had access to classified material on Hillary's e-mail server.

++Lindsey Graham went after Hillary last night for Monica Lewinsky as an example how the Clintons lie.

++Ed Kilgore has a brief synopsis of last night's performance at St. Anselm's College in New Hampshire. He makes the point that all of them stand for the somethings and that the field is pretty homogenous. Like another blogger last night, Ed claims Walker made a plausible case for electability.
I guess that was on Walker's claim you can balance a budget by simply cutting but must also keep valuable programs. In other words, he did not come off as crazy.

++The FOX ten have been announced. Rick Perry fell off the stage. Kasich is in.

++Senator Tim Kaine of Virginia came out for the Iran nuclear deal. Nancy Pelosi says she has enough votes to sustain an Obama veto if the House disapproves. The GOP says it has enough votes to reject the agreement. And there are both right--but Nancy Pelosi can actually count.

++Business Insider said last night's New Hampshire forum was awful. They have all the cringe moments on video.

++I thought Chris Christie came off as the most human. Either JEB! has been out of it so long or he is just playing nonchalant and laid back. Jindal,Pataki,Paul, Cruz and Rubio came off half crazy. Somehow I don't see closing the government done as a profile in courage as Ted Cruz did.

++Carly Fiorina certainly missed the "hardest decision" question--how about firing 30,000 employees? as the answer.

++Dana Millbank at the Post weighs in that Joe Biden won't run and all this speculation is hot air.

++The Donald now has taken to criticizing Anthony Weiner as a "sex deviant".

++Alec Baldwin hopes the Donald wins the GOP nomination to show how corrupt our system is.

++The Senate GOP really are going to try and defund Planned Parenthood. Democrats are all upset about Manchin and The Indiana Senator voting with the GOP. Ed Kilgore reminds everyone how much more extensive Democrat pro-lifers used to be. Bob Casey of Pennsylvania, the most vocal pro-lifer, voted for Planned Parenthood because he said the federal funding had nothing to do with abortion. A reasonable man in an unreasonable world.
