John Batchler writes that the Kremlin thinks Trump is already wounded like Nixon was during Watergate and that the recusal of Sessions and firing of Flynn means that Trump is unable to produce on a rapprochement with Moscow. Moscow noted Russia wasn't mentioned and there was no initiative for better relations.
Batchler writes that Kremlin views the reaction against Trump as a solid bloc against lifting sanctions. Instead Moscow is moving to solidify their relations with China.
I got a sense reading the article that Batchler thinks this is a missed opportunity.
