The Senate Republicans have made it clear they want to pass Ryancare next week. Remember the deliberative process for Obamacare?
So far no health practitioner has testified on the merits of a supposed health care bill.
After Trump's visit to support Ryancare at the House yesterday, reports have him losing ten votes. It will be touch and go.
The House has a manager's rider to put $75 million away for people aged 50-85 but no meant to disperse it. Ryan also put in a juicy inducement for upstate New York representatives to vote for it. They could say the House voted that people in their districts wouldn't pay property tax to pay for Medicaid.
The holdouts in the Freedom Caucus say that this will add to the national debt.
So it is still in doubt. But remember this is a tax relief bill for the wealthy and not a healthcare bill.
Others amendments are to eliminate their own patient's bill of rights so "junk insurance" can be sold.
