++Ed Kilgore reviews the current tantrum by the House Republicans on the Iran Nuclear Deal. He is a puzzled by their stance as I am. He quotes Greg Sergent on this move as "Snatching defeat from the jaws of defeat."
++Kilgore says the move makes the Democrats vote affirmatively on the deal and not "against" a disapproval resolution. In other words,the House Republicans have thrown their own resolution out in order to simply score political points for some election down the road. Their trouble is they are not coordinating it with the Senate, which wants to move ahead with the "disapproval " Resolution as mandated by the Cardin=Corker compromise.
++The House Republicans also want to pass a law that prohibits President Obama from lifting the sanctions.
++None of this makes any sense as Kilgore's article makes clear. But then again neither did Sarah Palin's remarks at the anti-Nuke deal rally today.
