Michael Kinsley's Comeback

++The morning's op-eds all mention Michael Kinsley's definition of the "gaffe" as when politicians inadvertently tell the truth.

++Michael Kinsley's unexpected comeback comes with Kevin McCarthy's interview with Sean Hannity where he boasted that the conservative's victory in this session of Congress was creating the Benghazi special committee. The reason that is a triumph is that Hillary Clinton looked like the inevitable Presidential winner but with the creation of the committee her ratings have fallen.

++Commentators and the Democrats have pounced on the admission that #Benghazi! was a political creation aimed at discrediting Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign. Congress Cummings called for the disbanding of the committee. He said that McCarthy's statement showed this was not a non-partisan investigation.

++Missing from the furor is the rest of McCarthy's comments on Hannity. He promised a bill of reconciliation on the budget which would eliminate Obamacare and that President Obama could not veto. How about that for initiative? Cut 17 million from health insurance. Progress.

++We now have #Benghazi! 2 with the special committee to investigate Planned Parenthood. And yes, my rightwing friends actually think Planned Parenthood is a political organization like ACORN. The New England Journal of Medicine felt compelled to print an editorial praising Planned Parenthood and the fetal tissue donation, which is essential for the development of life-saving vaccines.

++Remember those Republican ladies on Planned Parenthood's board--Barbara Bush, Ann Romney, Liddy Dole?  The GOP candidates said that wanted Rosa Parks on the $10 dollar bill. Rosa Parks was a board member of Planned Parenthood.
