++At the Ocean Conference in Chile,President Obama pledged to create 900 square miles of marine sanctuary--the first in 15 years. These will be in Michigan and the Chesapeake Watershed. Usually this means that oil and gas developments will be banned.
Efforts to clean up the Chesapeake Bay were highlighted during Governor O'Malley's tenure.
